  • Preparing to teach meetings – start in April 2010, and give in-depth advice and support for teaching GCSE English.

These full-day courses will be delivered by AQA’s senior English examiners and will focus on the teaching of skills, in particular:

    • options for course planning and approaches to the new unitised structure
    • guidance on Controlled Assessment, including exemplar answers
    • new content such as the Spoken Language Study in English Language
    • poetry, particularly the examination questions and using the Anthology to support your teaching.

    You will also:

    • receive free resources including assessment material, candidate answers with examiner commentary and planning grids
    • have the opportunity to ask questions, network and exchange ideas with other English teachers.
